Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms Relief without Surgery

The carpal tunnel is the way to the wrist and is formed by the arc carpal bones (eight bones in the wrist) and the ligament connecting the pillars of the arch (the transverse carpal ligament). The median nerve and tendons that connect the fingers to the muscles of the forearm pass through the tunnel with little space.
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is compressed due to swelling of the nerve and tendons or both. The median nerve supplies sensation to the palm side of the thumb, index, middle finger and the middle finger inside the ring and muscle strength with the thumb. When this nerve is pinched, numbness, tingling, and sometimes pain of the affected fingers and hand can be produced and broadcast in the forearm.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Causes

The median nerve supplies sensation and movement to the "general part" of the hand (the palm, thumb, index finger, middle finger and thumb side of the ring finger).
The area of ??the wrist where the nerve enters the hand is called the carpal tunnel.

This tunnel is normally narrow, so any swelling can compress the nerve and cause pain, numbness, tingling or weakness. This is called carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is common in people who perform repetitive hand and wrist. Write on a computer keyboard is probably the most common cause of carpal tunnel. Other causes include:
Sewing
Driving
Assembly line work
Painting
Writing

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms

CTS patients experience numbness, tingling or burning sensation in the thumb and fingers, especially the index, middle finger and radial half of the ring finger, which are innervated by the median nerve.

Less specific symptoms may include pain in hands or wrists and loss of grip strength [16] (both of which are more characteristic of painful conditions like arthritis). Before the median nerve in the carpal tunnel is first passed through the thoracic outlet and the two heads of pronator teres muscle in the forearm. [17] As a consequence, inflammation, edema, hypertrophy of the thoracic outlet or forearm may affect the median nerve, which mimic the effects of carpal tunnel syndrome, and patients also complain of a sore arm and shoulder [18].

Numbness and paresthesias in the median nerve distribution are the symptoms of neuropathic (NS) entrapment syndrome carpal tunnel. Weakness and atrophy of the thenar muscles can occur if the condition remains untreated. [19

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for Treatment

The goal of treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome is that you can return to its normal role and activities which:
Address other health conditions if they are making your symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome worse.
Reduce any inflammation of the tissues of the wrist that puts pressure on the median nerve.
Determine the causes of carpal tunnel symptoms. You can then determine if there are activities for you to avoid or do differently and ways you can help prevent disease.
Prevent nerve damage and loss of muscle strength in the fingers and hand.
Treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome based on the severity of the disease, if there is any nerve damage, and if the treatment has helped others. Treatment options include treatment without surgery (nonsurgical treatment) or surgery.
