Delgado Community College is accepting applications for the next class of business owners in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. The program will offer a training course on various facets of running businesses beginning in March. The deadline to apply for the course is Monday.
Since the Goldman Sachs Foundation, HOPE Enterprise Corporation, Delgado and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced the arrival of the program in New Orleans in 2010, more than 130 small businesses have participated, said an announcement from Delgado.
New Orleans was the third city, after New York and Los Angeles, to become a site for the program, which has separate educational and small business loan components. The goal is to support small businesses as avenues for increasing jobs.
Businesses interested in joining the next class can find more information and submit applications through a Delgado Internet page or by calling 504.671.5555.
