Rick Ross suffered two mid-air medical emergencies Friday that led to his hospitalization, but TMZ reports the rapper will perform Saturday night at North Carolina A&T State University's homecoming. According to the venue, Ross' reps called this morning to confirm he is doing better and would be able to perform.
During a flight to Memphis on Friday. the 34-year-old rapper suffered a mid-air health scare that caused the Delta flight to return abruptly to a Florida airport.
The Associated Press reported that Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts II) was treated at a Fort Lauderdale hospital.

He was scheduled to appear at a Univ. of Memphis basketball event Friday night, and tweeted optimistically: "Memphis, here I come," following the incident.
The rapper hopped aboard a private jet to Memphis, but it was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Birmingham, Ala. when he suffered another medical problem.

"On his way to Memphis, he had to make another emergency landing in Birmingham," Univ. of Memphis basketball coach Josh Pastner said Friday in front of the crowd Ross was unable to entertain. "He got really sick again, and they had to rush him to the emergency room."
